Over a year ago, I led the development of a tool for Breast Cancer Care: Through self-assessment, the tool allowed you to understand an organisation’s current level of digital maturity compared to where you want to be in the future.

The tool is free to use and can be found here: digitalmaturity.co.uk.

A year on, I did some analysis on the entries we received. Here’s the short report: Third Sector Digital Maturity: A Benchmark.

But for those that are too lazy to download, the headline is as follows…

In the Third Sector, digital maturity is currently 50% and targeted at 88%

The aggregated results show where the Third Sector is strongest, and weakest: Governance, Campaigns and Content are the most mature areas; whilst User Experience, Analytics and Technology are more challenging areas.

And as I say in the report; the question is how does your organisation compare with the benchmark? And what will you do to improve your digital maturity over the next year.

Whatever you set out to achieve, good luck!

p.s. Shout out to Jo Wolfe and Tim Baker who were vital in making this tool a reality.
